Hi there I’m Vera, and I’m your fat flexibility coach.
I enjoyed fitness as a young child, but even then felt it wasn’t made for me. I wasn’t very fast, I couldn’t jump very high, I wasn’t the strongest. On top of being the fat kid in class, it didn’t take long for me to start viewing exercise as punishment, as many of us do when we’re constantly pushed past our limits, and chosen last for teams. For decades I only used fitness as a way to shrink my body to fit society’s standards, and I would sigh and complain every time I laced up my shoes to go to the gym.
After the back pain had set place, I discovered dance and flexibility training, and I stopped viewing fitness as a chore, but actually something fun I wanted to do. And not only that, but my back pain lessened with every stretch I did. I felt more capable, and stronger than ever, and that’s how I want you to feel – it’s why I created The Garden.
In 2020 I started learning and getting certified in flexibility training and fitness and started Flexibility with Vera as an online platform for people to get moving. I’ve since been teaching people from Iceland to Australia to my hometown in Canada and bringing back the joy of movement and flexibility to hundreds of students.
I absolutely love Vera’s classes! She is really laidback and friendly, and gives straightforward, easy-to-follow instructions. She also gives helpful reminders throughout the class to keep you in the proper position, which is perfect for someone like me who neeeever exercises! Highly recommend for people of all levels.

How often is The Garden updated?
We upload 2-6 videos a month, depending on the season. You can always see what the newest videos are up by looking at the Freshly Squeezed playlist! You can also request new videos anytime through the dashboard!
